History

Since 2012, Institute of nursing (IN) has been given a priority to educational quality assurance and continuously utilizes internal quality assurance (IQA authorized by Ministry of Education, and CUPT-QA) as a mechanism for developing the academic operations. As the concept of outcomes-based education influenced nursing education in Thailand, in 2017, IN has decided to use the Asian University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) criteria version 3 as a guideline for excellence in educational quality management. After AUN-QA criteria version 3 had revised, IN started to implement AUN-QA version 4 in 2022. Over the past 12 years, the nursing curriculum has shown a trend of improvement under the use of various quality assurance systems.

According to the university has a policy regarding to support international accreditations, the nursing program was therefore chosen as one of the four pilot projects. Therefore, in 2023, it is the first time that IN lounges AUN-QA criteria version 4 for developing a self-assessment report (SAR) in English version. This quality assessment process is aimed at preparing for accredited with the international AUN-QA system.
