Message from the Dean
It is my great pleasure, on behalf of the Institute of Nursing, Suranaree University of Technology, to warmly welcome all distinguished speakers, researchers, policymakers, health professionals, faculty members, and students to the International Health Conference: Advancing Health Policy Through Evidence, Collaboration, and Innovation, held on November 9–10, 2026, in Bangkok, Thailand.
Health systems around the world are navigating increasingly complex challenges, including the growing burden of noncommunicable diseases, population aging, persistent health inequities, and the rapid transformation brought about by digital technologies. Addressing these challenges requires more than generating new knowledge. It requires our collective ability to translate evidence into practice, transform research into meaningful policy, and develop innovations that create measurable and sustainable impact on people's health and well-being.
This conference reflects that shared commitment. By bringing together nurses, researchers, policymakers, educators, students, and health professionals from diverse countries and disciplines, we create an important space for exchanging knowledge, challenging existing perspectives, building partnerships, and identifying practical pathways through which evidence can inform health policy and improve health systems.
I am particularly pleased that this conference emphasizes the vital contribution of nursing to health policy and system transformation. Nurses work at the intersection of individuals, families, communities, and health systems. Our experiences in research, education, clinical practice, and community engagement provide valuable evidence for shaping policies that are responsive to people's needs and realities. Strengthening the voice of nursing in policy development is therefore essential to achieving equitable, person-centered, and sustainable health systems.
I am also delighted that eleven institutions have joined together to co-host this international conference. This partnership demonstrates the power of collaboration across institutions, disciplines, and national boundaries. I sincerely thank all our co-host institutions, distinguished speakers, organizing committees, partners, and participants whose dedication has made this conference possible.
At the Institute of Nursing, Suranaree University of Technology, we believe that research and innovation achieve their greatest value when they lead to meaningful change. I therefore hope that the conversations begun during these two days will extend well beyond the conference—into new research collaborations, stronger professional networks, innovative approaches to care, and evidence-informed policies that improve health outcomes locally, nationally, and globally.
May this conference be a meaningful opportunity to share evidence, strengthen collaboration, inspire innovation, and transform knowledge into impact.
I warmly welcome you to Thailand and wish you an inspiring, productive, and memorable conference.
