Oral (Podium) and Poster Presentations

International Health Conference: Advancing Health Policy Through Evidence, Collaboration, and Innovation

INVITATION

The Nursing Policy Research Conference 2026 invites nurses, nurse scientists, students, and health professionals to submit abstracts for oral (podium) and poster presentations. We welcome original research addressing health policy as well as other areas of nursing and health research. Selected abstracts will be scheduled for podium presentation on Day 1 of the conference; all accepted abstracts not selected for podium presentation will be invited to present as posters.

Presentation Types

Oral (Podium) Presentation
Selected authors will present their work in a 12-minute oral presentation followed by a 3-minute question-and-answer period during the Podium Presentation Sessions on Day 1.

Poster Presentation
Posters will be displayed throughout the entire conference. Presenters should be available at their poster to discuss their work with attendees and judges during the Poster Presentation Sessions on Day 1. A poster presentation lasts 7 minutes of presentation and 3 minutes of Q&A. E-poster size is 9:16 4K Ultra HD (UHD): 2160 × 3840 pixels. Details will be provided in the acceptance notification.

Scope and Topic Areas

We invite abstracts reporting original, unpublished research, including completed studies and works in progress with preliminary results. Topics include, but are not limited to:

1. Health and nursing policy research, including policy analysis, evidence-informed policymaking, and policy-driven intervention design
2. Translating research evidence into health policy and practice, including knowledge translation and policy capacity building
3. Noncommunicable disease (NCD) prevention, control, and management, including lifestyle management and behavioral intervention research
4. Health system governance, financing, and workforce development
5. Digital health policy and health data governance
6. Health equity, ethics, and policy decision-making, including care for aging populations
7. Other original nursing and health research, including clinical practice, public health and community health, nursing education, and health services research

Abstract Guidelines

Abstracts must be submitted in English and must not exceed 300 words, excluding title, authors, and affiliations. Abstracts must follow the structured format below:

1. Background — brief rationale and context for the study
2. Objective — the study's aim or research question
3. Methods — design, setting, sample, and data collection/analysis approach
4. Results — key findings (preliminary results are acceptable for in-progress studies)
5. Conclusion — main takeaway and significance
6. Policy Implications — relevance to health or nursing policy and practice, where applicable

Additional formatting requirements:

• Title: concise and specific (maximum 20 words)
• Authors and affiliations: list all authors with institutional affiliations; indicate the presenting author
• Keywords: 3–5 keywords
• Abstracts must not include tables, figures, or references

Submission Process

Abstracts must be submitted electronically via the Conference Submission Portal by October 20, 2026. The Scientific Committee will conduct a blinded peer review of each abstract for originality, methodological rigor, relevance, and clarity. The Scientific Committee will notify corresponding authors of the review outcome and presentation format (oral or poster) by October 25, 2026.

Presenter Requirements

• A presenter must register for the conference and be available to present in person by the stated schedule.
• Presenting authors must register by October 31, 2026, to be included in the final program
• Abstracts accepted for presentation will be published in the conference proceedings/abstract book
• Awards will be presented for Best Podium Presentation and Best Poster Presentation
